EDICS: Guiding NHS patients throughout their referral journey and providing local treatment options through consultant led, specialist clinics
EDICS helps guide and support NHS patients throughout Surrey and beyond who have been referred by their GPs for more specialised care. As part of this support EDICS also provides consultant-led, local NHS clinics which can both speed up the referral process and allow patients to be seen closer to home in specialist centres rather than hospitals.
- Short waiting times
- Local clinics
- Quality care in a clean and pleasant environment
- All qualities you might associate with private health, but a reality in the NHS through EDICS
EDICS provides NHS patients with one point of contact to help guide them through the referral journey. The EDICS team are available for advice during normal weekday working hours. If the patient’s choice is to be referred through EDICS, they may speak to one of our support team or our local care physicians by phoning our enquiry line on 01372 541300.
EDICS was conceived and developed by Surrey GPs to help ensure their patients receive the best support possible during their referral journey and to be able to make informed choices as to where and when they receive their care. It has been so successful that EDICS has received a special accreditation which allows the EDICS system to be established more widely.
EDICS clinics are accredited by the Care Quality Commission and the organisation is committed to deliver choice and efficiency at each stage in the care process, both in the community and in hospitals.
